Nick I. Pasco, CPA 
Managing Member

Nick I. Pasco has been involved in the investment management industry since 1996 and has worked in the field of public accounting for over 12 years. Mr. Pasco was the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of a fixed income and long/short equity hedge fund.  While serving in the above capacities, Mr. Pasco managed the operations, compliance and finance functions across multiple funds, management companies, and separate accounts.

Prior to this position, Mr. Pasco was a Senior Manager in the Global Asset Management Practice of Ernst & Young in San Francisco where he managed the audits of hedge funds, fund of funds, venture capital funds and private equity funds investing in equities, fixed income, distressed debt, side pockets, derivatives, real estate and investments in other investment funds through onshore, offshore and master feeder structures.


A.J. Haas, J.D., CPA, LL.M. (Taxation) 
Managing Member

A.J. Haas has been involved in the hedge fund industry since 1997 and has over 15 years of experience in the field of accounting and tax, including 13 years of public accounting experience with several large international firms, such as Ernst & Young (New York and San Francisco Offices), Deloitte & Touche (New York Office) and BDO Seidman (New York Office).

Mr. Haas brings significant financial services knowledge to the HedgeCount team.  While at Ernst & Young, Mr. Haas coordinated in-house seminars, drafted client newsletters and delivered presentations on various financial product and private investment fund issues, including partnership allocations, unrelated business taxable income, collar transactions, management company issues, master-feeder structures, passive foreign investment companies, foreign withholding, and pension plan issues.  Mr. Haas has also spoken about international tax topics affecting hedge funds at a seminar sponsored by the Institute for International Research.


Casper N. Calisin, CPA 
Managing Member

Casper N. Calisin has been involved in the investment industry since 2000 and has worked in the field of public accounting for over 15 years in the United States (San Francisco and Los Angeles), Philippines (Manila) and Indochina (Vietnam and Laos).

Prior to HedgeCount, Mr. Calisin was a Senior Manager in the Global Asset Management Practice of Ernst & Young in the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices where he managed the audits of investment companies, mutual funds, introducing broker dealers, trust funds, separate accounts, hedge funds, fund of funds, venture capital funds and private equity funds investing in equities, fixed income, distressed debt, side pockets, derivatives, real estate and investments in other investment funds through onshore, offshore and master feeder structures.
